▶️ Pro News Weekly: Dollar Rally Gains Momentum
Welcome to Pro News Weekly!
💵 The U.S. dollar continues to rally as capital flows from Europe to the US accelerate. Rising French government bond yields and growing concerns over France’s debt trajectory and political instability are weighing on European markets, strengthening demand for the greenback.
📈 US stocks are showing mixed performance as the S&P 500 retreats from record highs amid concerns over elevated Treasury yields. While the Nasdaq 100 remains near all-time highs, the Russell 2000 is approaching correction territory. A narrow rally driven by major technology companies is also raising concerns about a potential market bubble.
🪙 Gold is heading for its third consecutive weekly decline, pressured by a stronger dollar, rising Treasury yields and escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. However, China's purchase of 23 tonnes of gold in September, its largest monthly purchase since 2023, is helping support prices near two-month lows.
₿ Bitcoin is retreating as escalating Middle East tensions undermine risk appetite and trigger a cryptocurrency sell-off. Around $720 million in positions were liquidated over 24 hours, while Bitcoin ETFs recorded $485 million in outflows. A stronger dollar, elevated Treasury yields and competition from Big Tech stocks are adding further pressure.
📊 Next week, traders will focus on US consumer price and producer price data, which could influence expectations for the Fed's next rate decision. A rise in September inflation could push the probability of a rate hike back to 50%, supporting the dollar. Investors will also monitor France's budget negotiations, developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on oil prices and safe-haven demand.

🇺🇸 Pre-market trading trends on the US stock market
📈 A moderately positive trend is prevailing in the US stock market's pre-market trading.
In the Information Technology sector, NVIDIA (NVDA) is up 1.47%, Micron Technology (MU) is up 1.66%, while Microsoft (MSFT) is up 1.02%.
In the Communication Services sector, Alphabet (GOOGL) is up 0.70%.
In the Consumer Discretionary sector, Tesla (TSLA) is up 1.27%, while Amazon (AMZN) is up 0.80%.
The predominantly positive performance of the largest technology and consumer companies points to risk-on sentiment in the US: investor interest is shifting toward riskier assets, while demand for the dollar as a safe-haven remains subdued. Under these conditions, the short-term trend for the dollar is likely to remain neutral until new signals emerge regarding the Fed's interest rate policy.
Bitcoin Wave Analysis – 9 October 2026
– Bitcoin reversed from key support level 82000.00
– Likely to rise to resistance level 87185.00

Bitcoin rebounds, Ethereum uptrend at risk
The crypto market capitalisation has fallen by a further 1.4% over the past 24 hours, seemingly maintaining its chosen pace. However, this impression is deceptive, as we witnessed a sharp downward move in US trading hours from $2.83T a day ago to $2.72T, followed by a recovery to $2.79T. A similar attempt to bounce back from lows is also evident in equities, fuelling risk appetite as the week draws to a close. Among individual coins, declines predominate, though some have surged. The top three performers are Basic Attention Token (+9.8%), Cosmos (+9.4%) and Immutable (+9.3%). Algorand (−8.7%), Near Protocol (−7.8%) and Bitcoin Cash (−6.3%) fared worse than the rest.
At the peak of its decline on Thursday, Bitcoin fell to $80.4K, touching its lowest level in the past three weeks and its 50-day moving average, where the balance shifted in favour of buyers. This moving average is often regarded as an indicator of the medium-term trend. It has performed this function admirably since July, when the price consolidated above it, and then the 50-day moving average acted as support in August. Yesterday’s dip provided further confirmation of buying interest during pullbacks.
